Mr. Chanan Singh Sangha passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Centre on August 1, 2018 at the age of 94 years. Chanan will be lovingly remembered by his five children (two daughters, three sons) and their spouses, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many close friends and family.
Chanan, the youngest of five siblings, was born in the town of Kala Sanghian, Punjab, India in 1924. He spent the first sixty years of his life in India before immigrating to Canada in 1984 with his late wife Mohinder Kaur and youngest son. Chanan settled in Calgary, where he spent the rest of his life raising his children and grandchildren.
Over the years he gained a love for hockey and was an avid Calgary Flames fan. Always smiling and ready to party, Chanan will be remembered for his loving, caring and compassionate personality.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at the COUNTRY HILLS CREMATORIUM, 11995 – 16 Street NE on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
