Edna (Nana) passed away peacefully at the age of 87, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Beloved wife of Frank for 69 years, loving mother of David and Larry (and wife Carol) and dear grandmother of Shaina and Mark. Edna and Frank migrated to Ontario, Canada from England in the early 1950’s. They lived in Toronto during their first few years and moved to Scarborough where they started a family. Edna and her family spent their weekends and summers at their lakefront cottage, a 2-hour drive north of Toronto. Edna retired as a loans officer with the Bank of Montreal (Toronto branch) in the early 1990’s. Few years later they moved to Orillia to be closer to their cottage. She enjoyed nature walks and playing cards, and loved knitting and craft painting. In 2012, Edna and Frank moved to Alberta and lived in a beautiful bungalow home in Airdrie, where they had a great time, lots of good laughs with family and friends. A special thank you to her primary caregivers, Hanisel and Sheree-Ann and to the rest of the caregivers for their love and care. In 2018, Edna and Frank had to move to St. Teresa Covenant Care Facility and then to AgeCare Skypointe in Calgary. Special thanks to the facility administration and nursing staff of AgeCare Skypointe for their exceptional support and compassionate care during her last weeks of life. Visitation will be held at Country Hills Crematorium, 11995 – 16 Street NE on Friday, Nov 2, 2018 from 6:00pm – 8:30pm and the Service/Cremation on Saturday, Nov 3, 2018 at 11:00am, also at Country Hills Crematorium.  Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00pm, AgeCare Skypointe Facility, 179 Skyview Cir NE, Calgary AB.
