        Lynette and family
Please accept the Loken family’s heartfelt condolences on Garry’s passing. We have so many fond memories of those busy but carefree “raising families” days in Penticton…. days around the pool, school days and Garry trudging home with a wheelbarrow full to overflowing with crabapples to be made into wine! How fortunate you have been to enjoy 45 happy years together and to have all your children and families living so close . They will certainly be of great comfort to you and to each other during the weeks and months ahead. God Bless

Our love and heartfelt condolences are with you Lynnette, Allison, Chris, Jon and all the lovely bright beams of grandchildren who were blessed to know Garry as Grandpa. Garry was a father figure to Ian and I and a Grandpa to our kids. We will remember campfires and cheesies, playing Swiss family Robinson on the island lugging buckets of water and clearing the land with Garry, 50 cent and many other card games, the music stick, Garry’s patience and love of Chewy, spoiling the kids with M&Ms, a proper pour of rum for a rum and coke, learning the ins and outs of creating home brew, and above all the warmth in his voice and the sweet nature of his chuckle…if you were lucky it would morph into such a great laugh. May your memories and many shared with you bring some solace during this time. We love you.

Our thoughts are with you. I remember many happy visit to auntie Alice’s house in my childhood she was such a great cook also visits out on the farm when she was married to uncle Ivan. I never ever heard her say and then kind of angry word and she was a wonderful cook and wife and mother. I cannot say I spent much time with Garry on those visits as he was a teenager then and rarely home but I did enjoy playing his collection of 45s during my visits so he must have been a music lover. He and a friend of his did come and live with us for a few weeks when we lived down in Scarborough Ontario but I was a teenager then the never home. I have heard over the years and that he had a successful career wonderful marriage and great kids. Our sincerest condolences to you all.

                                                                            • Bob Hill

Kind, gentle, strong, honest, wise, good humoured – a man who adored his family, loved people and helping others. He was a wonderful guy and a great friend & colleague. His life was well lived.
