It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gurbax Singh Sihota at the age of 98 years, in Calgary, AB. He peacefully passed away on Sunday March 12, 2017. Our grandfather was born in the village of Barapind, India in the year of 1918. He came to Canada Dec. 1989 to be with his two sons, Jasvir & Baljinder Sihota, leaving behind his wife and two other sons Ravinder & Jaswinder Sihota and their families. Though he lived a long full life, we knew that it was his time to leave us, we were still not ready for his passing. We will always remember his unconditional love, the lessons he taught all of us along with his unforgettable  contagious laugh. We were fortunate to have the staff at Hillcrest Extendicare help with our grandfathers’ care over the past 2 years and we sincerely appreciate their kindness and compassion. His family will deeply miss him, as he was a loving brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

The memorial service will be held on March 18, 2017 at 12:30 pm at the Country Hills Crematorium, 11995-16 Street NE. Calgary, AB Followed by a closing prayer at the Deshmesh Cultural Centre.
