June 27, 2025 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce the unimaginable loss with the sudden and unexpected passing of David Lauzon on Friday, June 27 2025 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 35 years.

David leaves behind his beloved wife, Sandra, his fur babies; Pantheon, Arya, Gideon, Percy, and Tater Tot, and his beloved corgis; Sadie and Watson.
David is also survived by his parents, Paul and Lise Lauzon, of Lillooet BC, as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and his dear friends that cared about him so much.

David is predeceased by his maternal and paternal Grandparents and his sweet kitties Oskar and Dawn.

David was a devoted husband, adored fur Lord, cherished son, caring brother, and amazing friend. His passion for tabletop games, including his Warhammer, Dungeons and Dragons sessions, and video games were unmatched. David was born on February
22, 1990 in Timmins Ontario, as a fighter – he was born at 32 weeks. David and his parents moved to Lillooet BC when he was a child, and he graduated from Lillooet Secondary School in 2008. Following graduation, David moved to Kamloops and attended Thompson Rivers University – there he was heavily involved with the Kappa Sigma fraternity. There he made connections with those he would forever call his Brothers. He also met the love of his life, Sandra, in 2009 while studying. They became friends for a number of years, before finally expressing that love had bloomed. David and Sandra’s connection and love for their critters bonded them together. They married on September 10, 2022 surrounded by their families and loved ones. In 2021, David jumped into another adventure with Sandra and became a beloved member of the Burning Man community. Sandra and David’s passion for travelling and adventuring became well known amongst his loved ones, and together they travelled to 7 countries over the years. His highlight trips were his honeymoon in Fiji, and his multiple trips to Cuba. David had this outgoing way about him, where he could connect with anyone, and even in short interactions, make a lasting impact. His quick wit and snark were his strengths, but was always ready to lend a hand when needed or cheer up a friend in need.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Cuban Animal Rescue. Dave’s favorite part of any vacation was seeing if the Cat Gods would smile and feeding all the strays we could find.
