Eileen Dawn Chubey, born on October 28, 1948, peacefully passed away on August 1, 2025.
Eileen will forever be remembered by her family, friends, and loved ones for her nurturing dedication, creative talents, and wonderful homemaking. Her family fondly recalls the terrific meals she cooked and the delicious baked goods that were always available, with her peanut butter cookies and brownies being extra special and loved by all who shared them.
Eileen met her husband and best friend, Ivan, in high school. Their lifelong partnership and love story spanned 61 years; marrying shortly after high school, they shared 57 years of happy marriage.
Eileen was passionate in all she pursued. She was an amazing writer, always sending letters and entertaining emails to friends and family who cherished her deeply. She dedicated much of her life to working with children and spent a great deal of time crafting and creating characters for her loved ones, donating many more so others could enjoy her gifts.
A memory Eileen’s family cherishes deeply are the times her “rascals” would be up on a kitchen chair baking with her. Growing up never changed that perspective, as Riley and Logan will always be Grandma’s Rascals.
A special thank you goes out to Susan and Lana of the Palliative Care Group for ensuring Eileen was always happy and comfortable within their care.
