Born on December 22, 1952, in Sylhet, Bangladesh, Jayanta was the beloved son of Jyotsnamay Datta and Puspita Datta. He grew up with a quiet determination and a compassionate heart that would later define both his personal and professional life.

Jayanta dedicated himself to the noble profession of medicine, serving as a physician in Bangladesh. Through his work, he touched countless lives, offering care, comfort, and healing to those in need. He was respected not only for his medical knowledge, but for his humility and kindness.

A man of few words, Jayanta’s gentle smile and calm presence spoke volumes. Quiet yet always warm, he was known for helping others without seeking recognition. His steady and reassuring nature brought comfort to family and friends alike.

He found joy in watching cricket games and could often be found thoughtfully following his favorite matches. Some of his happiest moments were spent playing with his beloved grandson, creating cherished memories filled with laughter and love.

Above all, Jayanta cherished his family. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Gopa Datta; his daughters, Parama Datta and Chandrima Datta; his son-in-law, Sumit Dey; and his adored grandson, Nirvaan Ved Dey, who brought immense pride and happiness to his life.

He is also fondly remembered by his siblings, Janmajay Datta, Jyotish Datta, Jagodish Datta, Panchali Choudhury, and Panchatapa Choudhury, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
