Born in April 4, 1943 as Raghveer, she was known affectionately by her family as Gheero. She was married at age 16 to Mohinder Singh and named Resham by her new family, as per tradition. They had 3 children; a son Gurnek, and 2 daughters, Manjit and Daljit. Today, their family tree has grown to include 8 grandchildren, 5 (almost 6) great grandchildren and their respective families.

Resham was the beloved matriarch of the family; she was a natural nurturer, generous with her kindness and blessings, and had a witty sense of humour. She loved to laugh and loved her family. She always said, “God has given me so much, I’m so thankful.”

While the experience of losing her has been painful beyond imagination, her family finds solace in the fact that she is now in a place free of pain. She was someone who truly did live life practicing gratitude everyday; you could not help but to feel humbled by her. May she rest in peace.
