With Waheguru’s will, the family of Sardar Ranjit Singh announces his peaceful passing on March 10, 2026, in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 87 years.
Born on February 18, 1939, in Kaonke Kalan, Punjab, India, he later made Canada his home, where he spent many years surrounded by family and community. He lived a life grounded in faith, humility, and devotion to his loved ones.
He is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his devoted wife, Nachhatar Kaur; his sons, Balprit Singh (Kuldip Kaur)and Harpreet Singh; and his grandchildren, Prabhdeep Singh (Samandeep Kaur), Harjivan Kaur, Ajeetpal Singh (Harnoor Kaur), Madeson Singh, and Mykalah Singh. He also leaves behind his cherished great-grandchildren, Kabir Singh and Mahi Kaur.
Sardar Ranjit Singh was a dedicated family man whose greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was also the sole and devoted caregiver to his wife, showing unwavering love, patience, and commitment. A man of faith, he remained actively connected to the Gurdwara and the local Sikh community, where he valued sangat and seva.
He will be remembered for his kind nature, quiet strength, and deep devotion to family and faith. His memory will continue to live on through the lives of those he loved and guided.
The cremation service will be held at Country Hills Crematorium, Calgary, on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The Antim Ardaas will follow at Gurdwara Dashmesh Culture
Centre, Calgary.
