In loving memory of Tracy Lynn Dunn
With profound sadness we had to say goodbye to our beautiful wife and mother on July 1,2026 after a two-year battle with breast cancer. She was born in New Glasgow on March 29,1970 to Darlene (Hale) Chaulk and predeceased by her father.
Tracy loved July 1st on North St, Westville and introduced countless friends to Burt and Kay. The best times in her life, before children, were spent partying in Hopewell. Tracy lived many places in Pictou County while leaving a little bit of herself behind everywhere she went. She moved to Calgary, AB and resided there for 21 years.
Mom was an incredibly special person with a beautiful soul. She dedicated her entire life to looking after others while never wanting anything in return. Mom loved talking to people and listening to their stories, making meaningful connections wherever she went. She worked as a TA, at HCRS, and Resourceful Futures in Calgary.
Above all else, Tracy adored being a Mom. She embraced it with endless patience and a listening ear with unconditional love. We were her greatest joy in life. Everything she has taught us and memories made will be carried with us forever. Her absence leaves an ache in our hearts, but her love will continue to live on through us.
Tracy found happiness camping with her besties, yearly Vegas trips, house parties, shopping and spending time with the people she loved most. Her fur babies, Tupper and Gracie, were never out of sight. She had a profound ability to love everyone, always trying to be better. Little did she realize her perfection.
She is survived by her devoted husband Troy, her beloved son Ethan and cherished daughter Kameryn, Mother Darlene, Sister Marlo (Nik) Cooper, nephew Jackson and niece Dylan, Sister-in-law Shanna (Peter), nephew Brennan Hoare, brother in-law Thad (Ann), nephew Druhan and niece Alauryn Dunn, father in-law, Donnie Dunn, special cousin Jason MacDonald and treasured friend Shaima Mhaisen, and all her friends that became family along the way
Tracy was predeceased by her grandparents Burt and Kay Hale and her mother-in-law, Hannah Dunn.
Mom always said “I love you to the moon and back “. That saying will forever encapsulate how endless her love was. While we grieve the loss of a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and friend we celebrate the life beautifully lived. She will be deeply missed, forever loved and always remembered.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at Resourceful Futures at 6:00pm Thursday, July 9th. Burial will take place in Pictou County at a later date.

I am deeply saddened and shocked to read this. With tears streaming I send you heartfelt condolences. Your Mom was a childhood camping friend. My parents camped with Bert and Kay. Nan and Pup were cherished family friends. Your Mom and I once attended a Fire Chief Convention back in the early 80’s. We went as “the granddaughters.” ….. but your Mom was also my best summer friend year after year.
I will cherish my memories and I will never forget her. She was always so sweet and kind. We never had one single childhood fight. We adored our friendship. We hunted for frogs, we discovered trails in the woods, we made forts, we played horse shoes, we swam, we went for long walks and once we stole a beer but I’m pretty sure Barry drank it. Lol (that was our story) no one ever knew we did that. And we only did it once. Getting it was more fun than drinking it.
I loved your Mom very much. I am sorry I did not know she was sick. We lost touch as we grew up, but she was always in my heart. I write this from my trailer. I was so moved to see that she still loves camping as well. Our summers were fun. Adventures all day long. Trace was my dear friend.

I am so saddened to hear of this loss . My condolences to all Tracy’s family and friends , near and far . She was a big part of my life in my younger years . She will never know how much she inpacted my schooling . When she was around she always made time to help with a project , giving me ideas or just spending time with me and making me laugh instead of being with her teenage friends . Her true genuine love for the people around her will never be forgotten . Be at peace beautiful soul .
