Austin Dean Wyatt Shields

September 21, 2002 – August 6, 2026

In loving memory of Austin Dean Wyatt Shields, who blessed this world with his presence on September 21, 2002, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and departed from us all too soon on August 6, 2026. Austin’s journey through life was marked by his infectious smile, quick wit, and genuine compassion for everyone he met.

Austin was the cherished son of Crystal Lynn Nicole Wyatt (Owen Landine) and Jordon Reinhold Shields. He was a beloved grandson to Donald and Judith Shields, Christina Boss, and Laura Wyatt. Preceded in death by his grandfather, Randal Wyatt. Austin is survived by a large and loving family, including his uncles, Cody Wyatt (Skyler), Brendon Shields and his son Braxton Bye. His aunts, Kayla Barre, Melody Barre, Samantha Wyatt.

From a young age, Austin's passion for sports was evident. His love affair with baseball began at the tender age of five, a choice that brought him immense joy and countless memories. He played with the Sunridge Little League, trained in the Red Birds Winter Program, and was part of the Absolute Baseball Academy / Junior Dino's Program. Despite battling mental health
challenges, Austin’s dedication to baseball never wavered. He returned to his roots, playing with Northwest Little League and gave back to the community as a Little League Umpire.

Austin was a curious soul, always eager to learn. His love for reading was insatiable, devouring books on science fiction, history, geography, and any subject that piqued his interest. A keen gamer, he cherished the hours spent on his gaming computer, connecting with friends and immersing himself in virtual adventures.

Beyond his interests, Austin was known for his warm heart and kind nature. Always ready with a joke or a comforting word, he had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued. Even in the face of his own challenges, he remained the kindest soul, always concerned for others around him. His family was his anchor, and he rarely missed a day without reaching out to them.

Austin’s departure leaves a void that can never be filled, yet his memory will forever inspire those who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations to Schizophrenia & Psychosis Action Alliance, Canadian Mental Health Association or Kids Help Phone, in honor of Austin’s generous spirit.

As we say goodbye to Austin, we hold dear the memories of his laughter, his love, and the light he brought into our lives. May he rest in peace, forever in our hearts.
