Harbans Singh Toor

March 4, 1937 – August 29, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father Harbans Singh Toor, who passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, at the age of 89.

He was born on March 4, 1937, in the small village of Chabilpur, Sialkot, Punjab, Undivided India. After losing his father at a very young age, he grew up surrounded by his siblings and mother and carried with him the values of family, hard work, kindness and strength throughout his life. From a young age, he learned the value of hard work, honesty, and perseverance. With these values, he achieved great success, from a 10 year old boy walking with his family to Punjab India after the partition, to a Class I officer at Punjab State Electricity Board. He was a man of extraordinary strength and unwavering will. Due to his hardworking nature even after his retirement he started and ran a successful transformer manufacturing business in India. He was a born leader and held the position of VP in the Federation/Union during his employment at PSEB with intentions of defending the rights of his colleagues.

He was a devoted husband to our beloved mother , Kulbir Kaur Toor. He was a proud and loving father to Jagjot Kaur, Satnam Singh, Kamaldeep Kaur, Satbir Singh , and Neelamjit Kaur, and a cherished grandfather to his grandchildren and a great grandfather to his great grandchild. His grandchildren brought him immense joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He took great pride in watching his family grow through generations.

His love extended beyond his immediate family. He always cared deeply for his brothers and sister, often placing their needs before his own. His generosity, compassion, and willingness to help others earned him the love and respect of everyone fortunate enough to know him. Never turned down anyone if he saw needed help and always encouraged and guided everyone to excel in life without any expectations in return.

He will be remembered as a man of quiet strength, unwavering determination, deep compassion, and unconditional love living a life built on integrity. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled in his family, the lives he touched, and the countless memories that will forever remain in our hearts.

Although we mourn his passing, we are grateful for the incredible life he lived and the love he shared so freely. His courage, kindness, and selfless spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

May Waheguru bless his soul with eternal peace and grant strength and comfort to all who mourn his loss.

“Those we love never truly leave us. They live on in the values they taught us, the memories they gave us, and the love they leave behind.”
