August 31, 2016 – August 29, 2026
With unimaginable heartbreak, we announce the passing of our beloved Bronson.
Bronson was the happiest, cheekiest boy with the biggest smile, the best laugh, and a heart that touched everyone who knew him. He loved anything fast-cars, rides, the pump track, and adventures with his family. He loved music, movies, sweet treats, his sisters, and simply being surrounded by the people he loved.
Bronson leaves behind his parents, Garvin and Kayla, sisters Quinn and Chloe, his beloved dog Charley, loving grandparents Dwayne and Elizabeth Cappelle, Reid and Julie McPhail, Aunties Breanne Cappelle and Jessalyn McPhail, as well as numerous extended family, friends and caregivers who loved him fiercely.
In just ten years, Bronson left a legacy that will last a lifetime. He taught us resilience, to use our voices for good, and to never stop pushing for change. He helped shape the way our community thinks about inclusion and accessibility, and his impact will continue long after he is gone.
He moved mountains in his life, and he continues to move them now.
Fly fast, B.
You were loved beyond measure and will be missed beyond words.

Thank you for the many ways you have shared your loving life with Bronson and all the tributes to the many ways he blessed us
Our hearts reach out to hold your hearts.
We will be honoured to join you in celebrating Bronson’s life
Kayla, Garvin, Quinn and Chloe – thank you for sharing Bronson with us. 🩵 Your family built a big, beautiful life for him and it has been a joy to witness the way you showed him the world, advocated for him, cheered him on, challenged him to learn and grow but most of all, how deeply you all loved him.
Being a part of Bronson’s story has been an absolute gift. My favourite thing about him – his smile could be seen from a mile away and his laugh, even further (that full body experience!). It will be impossible to see Grover, read about monsters at the end of the book or listen to that special Chris Stapleton song without thinking of you, B.
Bronson will hold a special place in my heart forever. His legacy is the reflection of how many people were impacted by this sweet boy, something I hope gives you some comfort during this difficult time. I am holding your family close in my heart as you navigate this unimaginable loss. Sending all my love and support ❤️
To Kayla, Garvin, Quinn And Chloe, and to all those that loved Bronson. I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers go out to you all during this difficult time.
Although I didn’t know Bronson, I followed his adventures through Kayla’s Facebook. He has touched so many in his 10 years on earth, and I can see he will continue to do so through all the people who loved and cared for him, and along with Bronson’s Bill through the City of Airdrie. I know that no words can help take the pain away, just know that you are all such a special and strong family. Sending all my love.
Becky Mayhew-Lear and family ❤️

Dwayne and Elizabeth our thoughts are with you both and your family
Our sincerest condolences to all, a very handsome young man!! May God give you strength 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Sweet Bronson leaves behind a legacy far beyond that of a 10-year-old boy. His smile was contagious, his light shone from within, and radiated so much love, joy and spirit.
Bronson made an incredible impact, not only on his family and friends, but on his doctors, teachers, therapists, aides, his community and ultimately, had a far reach to other families through his amazing gift of life. So much love, joy, strength and purpose wrapped up in one young boy. ❤️
Although no words can heal a heart right now, there is such truth in the saying, “The depth of our grief is a reflection of the depth of our love.” And Bronson was loved all the way to the moon and back.
What an extraordinary legacy for such a young life. ❤️
We are deeply sadden by your loss of Bronson, who was such a precious boy. We can see by his picture that he truly was a bright shinning star. Psalm 37:6 says He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. We heard of how he made a difference in his community and enriched the lives of all who knew him especially his family. May you find comfort as you walk though this most difficult time. Sending our love and prayers Steve and Audrey Zub
Dear Garvin
Audrey already sent our condolences earlier but I too would like to personally express my condolences to you and Kayla. It’s been many years since we’ve connected when you were a young boy in our church in Cochrane. Your mom and dad told me about Bronson and his struggles when we last met a few months ago. Losing a child, your only son, so young is never easy and Bronson had brought so much joy into your lives.
May the Lord strengthen your hearts as you both and the girls grieve his passing and your loss. For those of us in Christ we have a resurrection of life to look forward to and Bronson is very much enjoying his freedom now having been released from his earthly affliction.
