May 12, 1940 – September 12, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Ramteemal, who died in Calgary, Alberta, on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the age of 86. He was born and raised in Penal, Trinidad, West Indies.
Bob taught elementary school in Trinidad for seven years before moving to Lethbridge to continue his education.
In February 1969, Bob met Gwen, the love of his life, and they married on October 4 of that year. They raised their family in Calgary, apart from five years in Trinidad, where Bob taught high school.
Bob will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by Gwen, his wife of nearly 57 years; his daughter, Jen (Sheldon) McKinnon, and grandson Malcolm; his son, Shane Ramteemal, and grandsons Zachary, Cole, and Nathan; his sisters, Radha and Radica; and his niece Amy and great-nephew Adyn. He will also be remembered by his cousins and the many friends he considered family.
Bob enjoyed playing and watching cricket, soccer, and golf, as well as listening to music and watching movies. His warmth and presence will be deeply missed.

Gwen, Jen, Shane sorry for your loss. Our condolences to you all and the rest of the family. Bob was a friend and will be missed. Unfortunately we lost touch with each other lately but I will always remember him at our get togethers and playing cricket together.
