Myrna May Marcinowski

Myrna May Marcinowski

September 22, 1938 – August 28, 2026

With profound sadness and gratitude I share Myrna May Marcinowski passed peacefully
Surrounded by family on August 28, 2026 in Calgary.

Myrna was born in Cranbrook B.C. where she grew up. Met her love, Frank, married in 1955.
Together they raised three children.

Myrna was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, Auntie, grandma, great grandma, and friend. To all she crossed paths with, cherished deeply.

In the late 60’s, Myrna along side Frank joined the Calgary Stampede City Kinsmen.
In the years to follow with fellow Kinsmen and Kinettes, K-40’s and K-etts, life for both was filled opportunities, joy, laughter, friendships and memories to last a lifetime.

Myrna entered into the workforce in the mid 80″s with Simpson Sears for many years until retirement. Friendships made and people she met throughout her career Myrna took immense pleasure in.

Myrna was an avid reader of books of all genres. Bi-weekly trips to the library, bringing home a dozen or more books each time. Nothing could replace the physical holding and reading a book in hand.

In 1987 Myrna received a special invitation as one of 20 most wanted from the City of Calgary Public Library, to celebrate 75 years of library services in Calgary. In honor a picture was sealed away in their Centennial Time Capsule, which was reopened in 2012 on their 100th. Anniversary.

Myrna had an unsurpassable love for her other children, “their puppies”. Over the years Myrna and Frank loved and cared for three of their angels, whom with unconditional love had a wonderful life.

Myrna was dedicated to her family, friends, and neighbors. Myrna was full of life with a witty sense of humor and affable demeanor.

Besides reading Myrna’s other pastimes included listening to music, group activities, games, watching TV and walks with her dogs. Gathering with family and friends, where relaxation and fond memories were made by all.
