URMILA RANI PRASAD

Urmila Rani Prasad was a jolly woman the type that would say hi to any stranger and easily turning that stranger into a friend.  She travelled the world throughout her life and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Even though English was not her first language she was able to connect with others beyond words.

She had married Krishna Prasad in her earlier years and had three children Madhu, Ravi and Sima. Following her husband’s passing she settled in Canada with her children and their spouses, Krishna, Sita and Manoj. Over the course of thirty years she was able to watch her grandchildren Prashant, Pranav, Romika, Alisha, Kunal and Neha grow up into adults. She wasn’t just a mother to her three children but also raised her grandchildren like her own. One of her dreams was to see all her grandchildren married. However, was only able to give her blessings to Przemyslaw Kowalski married to Romika, and Rosie married to Pranav Saxena. Even though she is not with us anymore her blessings will still carry on to all her grandchildren and their children to come.

She will be dearly missed by all her loved ones, but her love will always be living in our hearts.

Funeral Services will be held at the COUNTRY HILLS CREMATORIUM, 11995 – 16 Street NE on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow.

I Love you Naniji. You took care of me when we lived in India and then you took care of me when I moved to Canada as well. My heart aches to know that I will never hear your voice again. You always loved your family completely and sacrificed your own happiness for your family, because you knew long ago that your true happiness was when your family was happy. I would consider myself lucky to give my family the love, care and kindness you always did. You may be gone but you will live in our hearts until we see you again.

      I Love You Naniji,
      Your eldest Grandchild,
      Prashant
