Robert Oliver Williams

February 3rd, 1960 – January 23rd, 2026

Robert Oliver Williams was born on February 03, 1960, in New Westminster, BC. He passed in the early hours of January 23, 2026. Robert is survived by his wife Cynthia and two children, Sarah (Nicholas) and John as well as his grandson Jack and granddaughter on the way.

Robert was born to parents Dolores and Raymond and joined his older sister named Deborah. Shortly after his birth, they moved to Calgary where they welcomed two younger siblings Carolyn and Jim.

Robert grew up in Charleswood and spent his spare time playing baseball and hockey. Rob also enjoyed participating in other sports at the Winter Club. In addition to sports, Rob was a curious individual who enjoyed learning about the world. He was an avid reader and was committed to deepening his learning through conversations with others.

Rob started working at Snap-On tools in 1985 where he met Cynthia whom he could only describe as his soul mate. Robert was a complete family man and enjoyed spending time with his wife and kids. From coaching baseball teams to driving them to sports, he was a positive presence in their lives. Rob would take them all on epic summer road trips and always carved out time for every amusement park along the way. Rob loved rollercoasters and made sure his children also loved them as well. In addition, Rob was a devoted uncle to Justin, Jeremy and Jayden and as well as Kristin, Shane, Jason, Tyler and Michael. They remember Uncle Rob as a trusted mentor and a first-class joke teller.

Robert loved travel of any kind. When his kids grew up, trips to Disneyland became trips to Europe and Asia with his favourite travel companion, Cynthia. The two of them went to places like the Philippines, Mexico, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and The Holy Land. He enjoyed learning about culture, history and art and loved visiting museums and churches.

Rob was an enthusiastic grandfather, loving dad and devoted husband. Robert will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
