It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Ronald John Vickaryous of Calgary, Alberta, beloved husband, father and grandfather, announce his passing on June 17, 2025 at the age of 79 years. He will be forever missed by those that knew and loved him.
After growing up in Saskatoon, Ron married the love of his life Donna and eventually moved to BC where they had 2 children. He spent countless hours volunteering his time and travelling for his children’s sporting events whether it was as coach, manager or parent cheerleader. In Alberta he opened his own company and finally enjoyed many years of retirement. His life and work took him all over Western Canada where he made many friends easily. These friends and his family were the cornerstone of Ron’s life which he enjoyed passionately. He always had a great story or joke to make you smile. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.
Ron is survived by his wife Donna (nee Palmer and his daughter Jessica (Giancarlo) and his son Scott (Andrea) and his four grandchildren John, Matteo, Eros and Elsie, his sister’s Donna Simmons and Arlene Bader along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron was predeceased by his parents John Vickaryous and Violet (nee Evenson) and his sister Merilyn Watson.
