Jerzy Bozek, beloved father of Victoria and Natalia, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday July 3, 2020 at the age of 61 years. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends.
Jerzy was born on April 23, 1959 in Kra?nik, Poland to parents Helena and Waclaw Bozek and was one of three siblings, including Dorota Sobieszczanska and Zenon Bozek. He grew up and was raised in Poland, where he completed a Masters in Agricultural Engineering in Lublin, Poland, and worked as a professor at a university which was his lifelong dream. Jerzy decided to move across the world in 1989 to an unknown land, Canada, to plant roots and create a new life for his family. He initially lived in Newfoundland and then Calgary, AB. His only dream was to ensure that his daughters and family were provided for and he worked hard to accomplish that. He worked at Canada Malting for most of his life and chose to work night shifts so that he could spend the days with his daughters. His hobbies and favorite things to do included fixing everything around the house, road trips to Banff, nature (the mountains and flowers), photography, and of course vanilla ice cream. His passion in life was to always connect with others, whether that was an infant or an adult, he always had a way of finding a common language with all ages. He always had an open-door policy into his home and welcomed those that came in by forcing them to try various foods and beverages, “no” was not a word you could say to him and dinner was always ensured. Jerzy taught all those in his life to value each and every day as a blessing because the world has so much to offer, to lead with love, forgiveness and open hearts, and to always find joy and value in the simplest of moments and things.

I will never forget your kindness brother. May god give you eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the great pain.
I am devasted to hear that the world has lost Jerzy. I had the good fortune of working with him at Canada Malting for many years. He was a selfless person who cared about others. His love for his family was obvious to all that met him. I had the honor of having some fascinating conversations about everything from his ‘steps’ at work to his engineering ideas. He was a good friend and a dedicated worker. I’m so sorry to hear the world has lost such a good man!
Sending healing prayers and comforting hugs. I am so sorry for Your loss.

My Deepest Condolences
My condolences to Jerzy’s family, loved ones and friends. I had hoped that he would beat the illness and I remembered when we last spoke on how strong and optimistic he sounded. I worked around Jerzy at Canada Malting for a number of years and it was entertaining at times. One thing that did stand out was his love and dedication to his family and the ends he went to fulfill that. A good man, gone far too soon. God Bless you.
