Sunny was a woman who lived her life serving others with her hands, her heart, and her faith. She was a devoted mother, a beloved chef, and a source of warmth to everyone who crossed her path. To many, she was known as the heart behind Calgary Banchan and church community, where her cooking was more than food—it was comfort, generosity, and love served on a plate. Through her meals, she created community, welcomed strangers like family, and expressed care in the most tangible way she knew.

Sunny faced a long and difficult journey with cancer; one marked by immense pain and suffering. Yet even in the hardest moments, she remained gentle, faithful, and deeply loving toward her family. She endured far more than most could imagine, and she did so with quiet strength and grace.

Above all, Sunny was a woman of faith. She trusted in God throughout her life and held firmly to the hope of heaven. Her family takes comfort in believing that she has been welcomed home by her Heavenly Father, free from pain, fully restored, and surrounded by peace.

Sunny leaves behind a family who loved her fiercely and walked beside her until the very end. Though her absence leaves an ache that words cannot fill, her love, her cooking, her laughter, and her faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
