July 15, 1945 – Tabora, Tanzania
October 22, 2023 – Calgary, Canada
Ashok (Ash) Morjaria passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the age of 78 years. He was surrounded by his family, with love, and peaceful energy.
A loving and caring husband and father, Ash built an incredible life for his family in Canada after immigrating from London, England in December 1978. In building a career as a Civil Engineer, Ash was a popular team member at Alberta Transportation. A self-taught man, he then later founded his own Engineering consulting firm.
His proudest accomplishment though was his family. He was a husband and dad first, and nothing was more important to him than his wife, Madhu, and two kids (and in recent years, his Grand-pup, George). He never missed an event his kids had, and nothing brought him more joy than watching Amisha play Ringette, and Amish play hockey.
Through his quiet wisdom, Ash was known to many as a mentor, helper, and companion. An authentic soul, he had an uncanny ability to make anyone feel comfortable and safe in his presence. He was patient in listening, playful in his humour, and generous with his love.
He is survived by his dearest wife Madhu, his daughter Amisha, and his son Amish. He is also survived by his sister Tarlaben Kishanbhai Gadhia in Leicester, UK. He was the son of (late) Vithaldas Morjaria and (late) Amratben Morjaria.
The family is grateful for everyone’s love and support and humbly request to please refrain from home visits and making phone calls at this time. Thanking everyone in advance for your prayers and kind support.
Aum Shanti Shanti Shanti
