Surrounded by her loved ones Lina took her last breath on Thursday afternoon February 6 2025. Our beloved Wife, Mother, and Nonna unexpectedly passed away at the age of 73.

Lina was born on February 2 1952 in Canicatti, Sicilia she was the 8th born child out of 9. In 1962, With the help of Lina’s oldest sister Maria, at the age of 10 she immigrated to Canada with the rest of her family shortly after her father passed away.

Lina attended school in her younger years and eventually worked as a seamstress but her favourite role was to look after her family.
Lina met the love of her life Domenico and got married on November 13, 1971 and not too long after they welcomed their son Vito and their daughter Maria, and were happily married for 47 years.

Lina’s most important role in her life was taking care of her family. The unconditional love she had for her children & grandchildren was incredible as she embraced being a loving caregiver. She loved working in the garden, watching the silver channel, listening to records of Connie Francis, Luciano Pavarotti and many more.

Lina was kind, caring, loving and had a sense of humor that was one of a kind. We always had a story to tell about Lina’s quirkiness they were the best. She was loved by numerous friends and family and the time that they spent together was what she lived for.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Domenico Valentini. As well as Diego and Maria Moncado (parents), Giuseppe Moncado (brother), Eleonora Bonanni (sister).

Calogera Valentini (Lina) is survived by her two children, son Vito Valentini, daughter-in law Paola Oliverio Valentini, grandchildren Domenico & Gia. Daughter Maria Valentini, grandchildren Liliana & Antonio.
