Donna May Scheible was born August 13, 1949 to Willie and Alvina Scheible in Consort, Alberta. She married her beloved husband Don Staten on July 1, 2000 and together they resided in Calgary where she fulfilled a long successful career with the City of Calgary in land development for 35 years. She is pre deceased by both her parents and her only son, Darren Scheible.
She is survived by her truly wonderful granddaughter Stephanie (Dan) Gheorghiu and cherished great grandchildren Nyah and Marcus, stepdaughter Karen (Kevin) Trudel, son, Mason; sisters Bernice (Schetzsle), Carol (Rod) McCuaig, Janice (Dale) Shield, and a host of numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. At her request, there will be no memorial or service.
Independent and steadfast, her trip through life was enriched with the ultimate gift of love of her granddaughter and great grandchildren her son blessed her with. She shared her love for gospel music, decisiveness and independence with the world. She was a talented pianist though you wouldn’t know it as she was modest about playing for others.
May all who remember her have cause to smile at the kindness, compassion and earnest generosity she extended to them. She will be reunited with all the loved ones gone before her. Her work here on earth is done.
God bless all her family and friends who chose to remember her with love.

Dearest Aunti Donna,
Yes, a very lovely Auntie who was admired for her strength and beauty. She was an accomplished and independent woman. We will always cherish sharing our time with her growing up. She was generous with her time and knowledge and took an interest in all our growing families over the years.
May you be free from the pain and struggles and Rest In Peace 🙏
With Sincere sympathies, Love and prayers to the sisters left behind to treasure your memory.
A life cut too short….Donna you will be missed by so many friends and family! You were always interested in what others were doing in their lives! I was so happy to have lunch with you a few months ago and had so hoped we would have time for a few more visits!
