Four days after celebrating her 86th birthday, we remember and celebrate the life of Betty (Agnes) Hayward Hurrell, formerly of Renwer MB, who passed away surrounded by her loving family in Calgary. Betty’s life was filled with family, music, dancing, laughter, crocheting and shouts of BINGO!
She taught her children – Susan (Jacinthe), Jerry and Christine (Mike), her grandchildren Rodney, Madison (Bobby) and Shandi (Robert), and her great-grandchildren Lillian and Athena to live without bias, to find joy in the small things and to love greatly no matter the circumstances.
She was a beloved aunt and cousin to the Hayward, Hooper, Harris, Jarosz, Watson, Hurrell, Yaroshuk and Wozniczka extended families. Internment TBD in the Minitonas Manitoba cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local food bank.

Oh Mum! This makes it really real. Thank you for all the love and lessons you taught me. I’m so proud to be the daughter of such an amazing woman. Rest in pain-free peace.
We are sorry to hear the sad news of Betty’s passing, our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
Our sincere condolences to the family. I loved the stories she told me and she always made me laugh. She was a joy to be around. She enlightened everyone’s day when she was around. Our heart is broken. She will be missed. Rest in Peace Betty. I’ll save you a seat.
