It is with great sadness that the family of Verna Anne Aucoin, announce the passing of their mom wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother who passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the age of 83 years.

Verna was born in Yarmouth, NS to George and Bridgette Richardson. The family moved to Glace Bay where she met her husband Arnold Aucoin. They moved to Toronto where she became a stay-at-home mom and raised their two children. Verna enjoyed knitting, walking, and spending time with her family. She was always there to lend a helping hand.

Verna will be forever missed by her two children Edward (Wendy) and Saundra (Brian); her two grandchildren Max (Ida) and Jeffrey; and her great-grandchild, Benjamin. She is predeceased by her parents, George and Bridgette Richardson, husband, Arnold, brother Billy; and sisters Violet and Gladys.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Newport Harbour for taking such great care of our dear mother. Honouring Verna’s wishes, no service will be held. A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
