AUJLA – Dr. Ajaib Singh
March 20, 1931 – August 7, 2017
It’s with great sadness, we announce the passing of Dr. Ajaib Singh Aujla on the 7th of August 2017 at the age of 86. Mr. Aujla was born in the village Gumtala, District Amritsar, Punjab, India. After completing school at Sant Singh Sukha Singh School at Amritsar, he completed a degree in veterinary science from Hissar and worked with the government of Punjab for several years as a veterinary doctor. He retired from the veterinary college of Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana as an assistant director. He was very hardworking and a dedicated doctor thoughout his employment and had a very modest, humble lifestyle. He, along with his wife Charanjit Aujla immigrated to Canada in the year of 1990 and resided in Vancouver, BC and Calgary, AB. He was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, and a very generous friend. Ajaib believed in the Sikh religion very strongly and practiced the religion throughout his life with great devotion. He strongly believed in sharing his wealth with the whole community and had a great attitude towards society. He had four brothers and three sisters, and leaves behind one brother, one sister, and several nieces and nephews in India. He was greatly loved by his nephew Jeet Singh Aujla. He leaves behind his beloved wife Charanjit Aujla, daughter Palwinder Sohal (and spouse Tarlok Sohal), son Kanwerjit Aujla (and spouse Paramjit Aujla), son Satnam Aujla (and spouse Jasbir Aujla), grandchildren Puneet Aujla, Karan Aujla, Mansimran Sohal, Supreet Sohal, Amneet Sandhu, Harsha Aujla, Eshnaa Aujla, Ishaan Aujla, and his great grandchildren Mehar Sohal and Asis Aujla. He will be greatly missed by the family and will stay in our hearts forever. Funeral Services will be held at COUNTRY HILLS CREMATORIUM, 11995 – 16 Street NE on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 1:00 PM.
