It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Balbir Kaur Sidhu. Affectionately known as “Bibi”, she peacfully left us on December 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Bibi was born on January 8, 1944 in the village of Alam Wala Kalan, Punjab to Kartar Kaur and Mohan Singh Randhawa. She was one of four siblings and shared a close bond with her brother and sisters, whom she cherished deeply. Bibi married our grandfather, Lachhman Singh Sidhu in village Ran Singh Wala. Together they built their life in Faridkot, Punjab, where they raised their two sons. In 1996, they both immigrated to Calgary, Alberta, to join family.
Throughout her life, Bibi was a devoted homemaker whose love and care touched everyone around her. She found joy in her daily walks in the park with friends, taking care of her grandchildren, and tending to her garden. Her resilient spirit will forever leave a lasting influence on all who knew her.
Bibi is survived by her two sons, Durlabh and Nirbhai, as well as her six grandchildren, Baljeet, Kuljeet, Suneet, Simran, Jason, and Prabhroop.
We will forever cherish our memories with Bibi. Her absence will leave a void in our homes but her memory will live forever in our hearts. Rest in peace Bibi, you are in a better place now.
