I am so sad for this sad news. I connected with Barb since the first time I met her in a Librarians meeting . She touched my heart, my mind and my soul with that smile on her face and the jokes she made. I will miss her so deeply.
Barbara’s passion for academic excellence and research were remarkable. She challenged students to do their very best, and she was always willing to help both students and staff. I loved having her visit my classes to teach them how to conduct quality research. She will be dearly missed.
I had the pleasure of working with Barb at St. Timothy in Cochrane. Her passion and dedication to support students is unmatched. My sincere condolences to all family and friends who she had touched with her infectious spirit and positivity.
I couldn’t have done, or even survived, some of the projects I dreamed up for students without Barb. Her ability to teach students the value of proper research has served the staff and students at St. Tim’s well. Her bright ideas and her bright smile made the learning commons a safe space for her ‘little cherubs’. I will always cherish Barb, our conversations, and the support she gave me, making my years at St. Timothy memorable ones. Thank you so much, Barb. You’ll be missed.
I am so sad to hear of Barb’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with her for several years. She provided so much help to students in the learning commons. I asked if she could help out students in one of my classes with learning how to research online for a classroom project. She offered so much knowledge and information, I will never forget that. She also provided mentorship to the librarian at Morley Community School. They very much appreciated her services to their school My condolences go out to her family, she was such a lovely person.

Barb’s love of literacy and learning was so inspiring! But it was her passion for people that we’ll never forget, for not only did she always help us find a book or fix a computer, she never failed to lift our hearts with a smile, a kind word, some witty wisdom, or a goofy joke. Deep condolences to her family.
