The Jagoowani family is deeply saddened to share that on Monday April 3rd, we lost Bharat Jagoowani to a very brief and unforgiving battle with lung cancer.
He was born in Bahrain in 1957 into a family with 8 siblings and spent his formative years attending and graduating from Barnes boarding school in Nashik, India. Upon completion of his academics, he relocated to Abu Dhabi, UAE while professionally thriving in the banking sector and supporting his family back home in Mumbai. He met his future soulmate Priya while working at ABN Amro Bank and knew at that moment they were destined to be life-partners. Over the next few years, Bharat and Priya brought into this world their two beautiful children Kunal and Kiran. With great courage and determination, he moved with the family to Canada in 1997; a memorable chapter ensued living in Scarborough, ON and ultimately, he settled down in Chestermere, AB most recently working for the Alberta Health Services. During this journey, he was privileged to become a father-in-law to both Bhavika and Ranjeeta and was eventually blessed with 3 beautiful grandchildren Aashiya, Maya and Kashin.
Bharat meant a lot to all those who surrounded him. To us, he was a loving father, a dedicated husband and a caring grandfather.
He was and always will be known as the life of the party. He had a natural charisma about him, wore his heart on his sleeve and embraced life with a positive, can do attitude. He didn’t hold back and lived life to its fullest. His passions included listening to rock music, reading a mystery novel, watching cricket, exercising regularly, enjoying watching web-series/documentaries, dancing away at parties and spending quality time with his family and friends while enjoying a nice drink.
We are all devastated by this sudden loss yet we want to take this time to celebrate Bharat Jagoowani for who he was and the profound impact he has had on all our lives. . He has touched each of our hearts in a vey special way and will be dearly missed.

I am so deeply saddened that I will not be able to talk to and laugh with my friend anymore. My thoughts and prayers to Priya whom Bharat loved so much, the boys who Bharat was so extremely proud of and the rest of his family. He was such a bright light in this world and will truly be missed
My deepest condolences to each and every one of you. I am so sorry that I was unable to attend his services, but I want you to know that he was truly a joy to work with. He always knew how to make someone laugh and every time he walked by me, he always asked me how I was. I told him often when we talked that I missed working in the office with him since the pandemic, but I will miss him even more now. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time of loss.
