December 1946 – September 2022

Bob Victor Lysy, 75, of Thunder Bay, Ontario, passed unexpectedly on September 2nd, 2022, while awaiting treatment for undiagnosed lung cancer.

Bob was born December 26, 1946, to Thomas Lysyj (of Ukranian/Poland) and Pauline (née Kapacila) Lysyj (of Cudworth, Saskatchewan) in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He was the 3rd born of 4 siblings growing up on a farm of hardworking Ukrainians.

In his early years, Bob worked for Great West Timber and enjoyed bowling, golfing and traveling to the USA. He also enjoyed reading and watching movies. Later on, he worked as an accountant for many years while always striving to provide his best for his family. Though he encountered many setbacks, he never stopped loving and wanting the best for his family.

Bob is predeceased by his parents, and his sister Diane. He is survived by his two children Bronson and Kinsey, three grandchildren Odys, Charis and Harmony, and his two brothers Peter and Barry.

Cremation has already taken place. Due to most family being from out of town, there will be no service, although a private family gathering took place.

The family recommends donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.”
