Brian was born 1961 in Greenock, Scotland the sixth child of John & Sarah Tait. Both parents deceased. In 1969 the family emigrated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He passed away in Calgary on June 16, 2020 of complications resulting from Covid-19. He is survived by his five siblings, John (Debbie) Tait, Geraldine Tait, Rosemary (Keith) Gillanders, Stewart Tait, and Peter Tait. His aunt Florence Hankin of Surrey, BC, uncle Tommy (Marjorie) Stanton, close cousin Cathy Pyefinch (Ian) and numerous kin in Scotland and Canada.

He was a cheerful soul who was dearly loved and cherished by his sisters and brothers and will be greatly missed. Brian will be remembered as a joyful child, with a smile that lit up his eyes. He enjoyed reading books, playing computer games, and enjoyed playing bingo with his mother.
