Caroline Anne Butlin (Shapka) passed away peacefully on Sunday March 30th at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary after a short battle with Lung Disease.
Carol grew up in Calgary and lived most of her life here, she and her husband Marvin lived on Vancouver Island for a few years before returning to Calgary to be closer to family. They spent their retirement camping at their trailer in Water Valley, making lots of road trips to the mountains, and gardening in the backyard.
Carol is survived by her stepchildren Keri (Graeme), Jeff (Erin), Granddaughter Leigh, Nephew Guy (Tammy), Niece Janice (Rupert) and Great-Nephews and Nieces Jordan, Rae Lee, Jay and Renee, as well as their children.
