It is with great sadness that the family of Dinkar Mahashabde of Calgary, Alberta announces his passing on June 17, 2025 at the age of 91 years.

Dinkar Mahashabde was born in Dharangaon, Maharashtra on November 20, 1933. He emigrated from, Mumbai, India in June 2017.

Dinkar Mahashabde joined the Air Force in India and served for 8 Years and later he worked at Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) for more than 30 years in various leadership roles, until his retirement in Nov 1991.

Dinkar Mahashabde enjoyed reading the newspapers from 1st page to last page and clipping the newspaper items for his children to read.

Survived by:
Dinkar Mahashabde is survived by his sons – Sunil and Shirish; and daughter in laws – Padmaja and Chhaya respectively as well as two grandchildren, Nikhil and Dr. Manasi, and grandson- in-law Dr Charles Siegel.

Dinkar Mahashabde is also survived by his two brothers Vasant & Vijay and two sisters, Nirmala and Aasha; as well as well as numerous nieces, nephews, their families, and friends.

Dinkar Pandurang Mahashabde was predeceased by wife Alka and they were happily married for more than six decades.
