It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donna, a beloved wife, mother, friend, and cherished member of her community.
Born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1948, Donna lived a life centered around kindness, connection, and generosity. She had a warm spirit that made everyone feel welcome, and she was known for always giving her time, support, and love to those around her.
Donna was a devoted wife to her husband, John, and a loving mother to her daughter, Jennifer, and her son, Christopher. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in the life they built together.
She was deeply involved in the dance community, where she found great joy in supporting dancers, families, and events. Her presence was constant, her encouragement unwavering, and her love for the community was felt by so many. She built lifelong friendships through dance and was admired for her dedication and enthusiasm.
Donna also worked for many years at Bishop Carroll High School, where she was known for her kindness, reliability, and caring nature. She made lasting connections with students, staff, and families, and her friendly presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Beyond her work and dance community, Donna valued her many friendships, her ladies’ groups, cousins and extended family, and the strong bonds she shared with her neighbours. She had a gift for making people feel seen and supported, sharing in laughter and making memories, and her home and heart were always open.
Donna will be remembered for her generosity, her laughter, her strength, and the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and community that will continue to live on in all those whose lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to parkinson.ca, heartandstroke.ca or cancer.ca to honour Donna’s Life.
At Donna’s request, there will not be a funeral, but a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Condolences from the Cody family. We are so sorry for your loss and are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
Words cannot express how I’m feeling at this moment. Heartbroken that she’s gone. Donna will be missed terribly. We became instant friends in 2000. We laughed and cried together. We went to see Leonard Cohen live in 2012. We dressed up as twin gum-ball machines for Halloween one year at BCHS. We could sit for hours at Ricki’s, drink non stop coffee, eat a meal, laugh and talk about our families and sometimes be there for so long, it was the next meal time. Donna loved the colour pink, hair in perfect order, jewelry adorned and loved a bit of bling. Very stylish. Loved shopping. Her homemade chocolate chips were scrumptious and always put a smile on my face. So many memories flooding in my brain of our 26 year friendship. To John, Chris and Jenn. She loved you all so dearly and was so proud of her family. Loved her pups, and thoroughly enjoyed Christmas. She left her mark. Bye for now dear friend. An angel among us. 💓💕💓💕You’ll be missed.
I met Donna at Bishop Carroll in 2006 and worked with her until she retired. She was an enormous help to new staff, always willing to give a helping hand no matter how busy she was. Her hair, makeup and accessories were always spot on, but were eclipsed by her wonderful smile.
