With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elnora Besonia, 76, of San Jose Del Monte Bulacan, Philippines, who died on May 10, 2026 in Calgary, Alberta Canada surrounded by her family and friends.

Born on February 17, 1950, in Roxas City, Capiz, Philippines. Elnora was the daughter of Alfredo and Marina Buenaobra. A devoted mother, her greatest joy was nurturing her children. Filling their home with love and laughter, taking care of grandchildren, cooking homemade food etc.

Elnora was visiting Canada since 2019 and came back to the Philippines last January 2025. Elnora then came back again to Canada last December 2025 to visit Daughter (Rachel Montes) and Grandchildren (Amanda & Amara Montes).

Elnora was predeceased by her parents, (Alfredo & Marina), Sisters (Digna & Vilma), Brothers ( Wilmor, Ramon & Alfredo) husband Jose Antioco Besonia, Jr., Daughter (Michelle), Son (Michael).

Elnora is survived by her daughter (Rachel), son in law (Joseph) Grandchildren, Amanda Leigh and Amara Louise Montes. Sister & Brother( Rosanna & Cone Buenaobra).

A public viewing will be held on May 16, 2026, from 9am-10am at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church. Followed by a Funeral mass from 10am-11am.

Reception and cremation at Country hills Crematorium & funeral services from 12pm-2pm
