Sad to loose a great golfing buddy; he handled his situation with great resilience over the past few years without complaint. He had an interesting life and was always happy to share is experiences over a pint of beer at the the end of the game/
He was a willing helper on scoring games and getting Riverside Men’s Club in Fairmont into the computer age.
My sincerest condolences to Gottfried’s family. In addition to being my neighbour in Fairmont, I had the pleasure of golfing with Gottfried on many many occasions. He was a gentleman with great stories of a life and career before retirement, a fine sense of humour and a pretty good golf game including a hole in 1 on #5 just a couple of years ago. He contributed his time and talents to Riverside Mens Golf Club by bring his computer expertise to set up then operate the Mens roster and weekly golf schedule. We at the Mens Club will sorely miss Gottfried’s presence, smile, friendship and willingness to help. Rest In Peace good sir – you will not be forgotten.
As a friend of Gottfreid at one of his winter haunts, I am saddened by his loss. Whether it was hearing about his skiing exploits, golfing wins or his studies into his genealogy, it was always interesting.
The Wednesday men’s league at Caliente Springs Spa and Resort has lost a good friend and golfing buddy.
