Gregory Anthony Scanlon

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Greg Scanlon, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who died on June 4, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. He was 68 years old.

Greg was born in 1956 in Calgary, Alberta, and spent his life creating lasting memories with those he loved. He was the proud grandfather to Luladay, father of two daughters, Andrea and Kendra, and a devoted husband to his wife, Candy, who was by his side when he passed. He also leaves behind his six sisters; Kathy, Sheila, Vicki, Marion, Frances, and Deanna each of whom meant the world to him.

For over four decades, Greg worked in the oil and gas industry, building a long and successful career in sales. His dedication and hard work earned him the respect of his colleagues and clients alike.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Greg loved spending time outdoors, camping in the mountains, and riding his motorcycle along Highway 40. He found joy in
looking at old cars and was always the first to fire up the BBQ.

Greg was especially devoted to his daughters' activities when they were growing up, and he was an active and enthusiastic presence in the ringette community.
He was known for his unwavering love for his family. His presence in the lives of his loved ones will be profoundly missed, but the memories of his stories, laughter and spirit will live on.

A celebration of life will be held on June 24 , 2025 from 2-4pm at Triwood Community Association in the Charleswood Hall for those who wish to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Greg’s memory to the Wellspring at wellspring.ca/donate

Rest in peace, Greg. You will be missed but never forgotten.
