Gurnam Singh Gharlay
August 15, 1979 – February 15, 2022

Gurnam (Gary) Singh Gharlay passed away unexpectedly in Golden, BC on February 15, 2022 at the age of 42 years. Born in Golden, BC, Gary will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, Ajit Singh and Satwinder Kaur Gharlay; paternal grandparents, Jaswant Singh and Swaran Kaur Gharlay; paternal grandparents, Late Narajan Singh and Mohinder Kaur Sandhu; maternal Grandparents, Late Parkash Singh and Swaran Kaur Purewal; siblings, Mandeep Kaur Gharlay and her husband Rajvinder Singh Hara, Ashley Kaur Gharlay, Sunny Singh Gharlay and his wife Ashley Abarca.

Gary was the first grandchild in the family born and raised in Golden, B.C. He was
part of a large committee of parents, friends, and relatives.
He was always welcomed by friends and family; he had lived with all of his aunts
and uncles during his post-secondary studies.
Gary always had a passion to learn and perfect things. He strived to do the best.
Gary had a passion for sports and fitness.
He was known to have played hockey in the Golden Minor hockey league from a
very young age, he was an avid Oilers fan and especially a fan of Wayne Gretzky.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was very close with his
grandparents.
Gary had a very gentle, kind demeanor. He had a lot of respect for humanity, he
went out of his way to help people.
Although he was known to be a quite person, he was very social. His smile and
laughter were worth a million words. He had started a spiritual path in life, which
brought him to peace. He will be forever in our hearts.

Funeral Ceremonies will be held at COUNTRY HILLS CREMATORIUM & FUNERAL SERVICES, 11995 16 Street NE, Calgary, on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 10:00 am.
