Harbans Kaur Sihota
March 19, 1936 – September 30, 2018
Harbans Kaur Sihota, beloved wife of the late Malkiet Singh Sihota, passed away peacefully on Sunday Sept 30, 2018 at the age of 82 years. She was the second eldest of a large loving family consisting of five sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her two daughters, Hartirathpal K. (Parminderjit S.), Stinderpal K. (Mohanbir S.); two sons, Mantu S. (Elaine), Narinderjit S. (Pam); nine grandchildren, Ginny K., Roop K., Sahajvir S. (Aman K.), Parmbir S., Jaspreet K. (Harmeet S.), Roshanne K., Avanya K., Nadine K., Harveen K.; two great grandchildren, Jodh Singh, Pritham S.
She immigrated to Canada in 1972 with the help of her siblings. In 1974 her husband and the rest of the family joined her. In those two years she had worked hard, and was able to put enough money aside to buy a small house. Her devotion to her husband and her family was unwavering and always apparent, always looking after their needs first. She carried herself with pride and dignity, always lending a helping hand with generosity and kindness to those in need. In the last years of her husband’s life she was a pillar of strength and never complained about her own ailments. In the years following her husband’s passing, she was a model of bravery and courage despite her grief and deterioration in health, even to the very end. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at the COUNTRY HILLS CREMATORIUM, 11995 – 16 Street NE on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
