Hargurmeet Singh Bajwa passed away at the age of 75 years on 5th May 2025 at Calgary, Alberta, surrounded by loved ones.

He was born on November 11, 1950, in District Jalandhar, Punjab (India). A devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he was known for his strength, humility, wisdom, and sense of humor. He touched the lives of many with his gentle nature, quiet dignity, and deeply respectful character.

He married Narinder Kaur on 14th October 1981 and together they built a life grounded in love and family. He is survived by his wife, kids, brother, sister and grandchildren. He found joy in spending time with his family especially grandchildren.

Hargurmeet retired as a Professor in Education, Panjab University Chandigarh with more than 30 years of experience. He was admired for his knowledge, dedication, discipline and work-ethics. He enjoyed playing table tennis, watching movies, travelling and photography.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and medical staff at the hospitals in Calgary and Lethbridge. Their care, compassion, and support during his time of need meant so much to our family, and we are deeply grateful for their efforts and kindness.

He will be remembered with deep love and gratitude by all who knew him.
