With deep love and profound respect, we announce the passing of our beloved family member, Shri Jagiri Ram Ji, who peacefully left us at the age of 87. Jagiri Ram Ji , born in Nakodar, Punjab, India, on April 15, 1937, immigrated from Nakodar to Calgary, Alberta, in October 2010. Jagiri Ram Ji was a man of immense warmth and sincerity, known for his hardworking nature and his ability to live in the moment. He was a gentle, kind-hearted soul who brought joy to everyone around him with his warm smile and generous spirit. Whether it was enjoying the serenity of daily walks, relishing tea, or playing with Mylo, he found happiness in life’s simplest pleasures. A devoted listener of Gurbani, he found peace and solace in reciting its verses. Known for his enthusiasm and joy, his favorite expressions of pure happiness were often “wah wah” and “balle balle” whenever he encountered someone he loved. His kindness, positive energy, and uplifting presence touched everyone he met. Jagiri Ram Ji was a proud and active member of the Guru Ravidass Society of Calgary. He will be remembered as a loving, compassionate, and generous individual who leaves behind an enduring legacy of warmth and joy. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in our hearts. A cherished family member, he is lovingly remembered by his wife, Prakash Kaur; son(s), Ramesh, Sukhdev, Gurdev, Tilak (Late), and Nirmal; daughter-in-law(s), Gurmej (Late), Tripta, Pushpa, Paramjit; grandchildren, Shiv, Sankait, Sushaant, Nirmala, Shakuntala, Sanjeev, Manjit, Anjana, Harjinder, Sonia, Barry, Ashlena, Arvind, Deepika, Bhumika, Manraj, Priya and our family dog, Mylo Rattu.
