Jainendra Sharma of Calgary, beloved husband of Anita Sharma, passed away suddenly but peacefully on March 23rd, 2020, at the age of 53 years.
Besides his loving wife Anita, Jay is survived by his mother Vidyawati Sharma; his daughters Andrea Sharma, Julie Prasad and Amanda Prasad; sister Angela Williams; brother Jagen Sharma, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families.
Jay was born in Suva, Fiji, son of Jagdish and Vidyawati Sharma. He graduated from Gospel High School in Fiji. In 1987, he moved to Canada and married his beloved wife Anita Sharma. He worked very hard to build a career from the ground up, leading to management in the hotel industry and eventually, landing his own business as a courier driver. Jay had many hobbies, which included playing for a Fiji soccer team, collecting and building antique cars, and cooking! He loved being in the kitchen trying new recipes he would learn from the food network.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

My baby bhaiya, gone too early. If I had known you were going so soon I would have stayed a little longer with you. The week spent together was the most memorable and best. We had so many chats and laughs together with amma. Those days will not come back. You cooked the best prawn curries ever, I’ll keep your recipe a family secret. Thank you for that. Maa is so heartbroken by you leaving and is sad to see you go before her. I will miss our phone calls. Psalm 23:4 Even if I go through the deepest darkness I will not be afraid Lord for you are with me. Your shepherd’s today and staff protect me.” Amen. We love you always bhaiya and dearly missed my handsome brother. Rest in eternal peace til we meet on that glorious morning.
