JAMES EDWARD DeBOER

Mr. James Edward DeBoer, age 70, passed away at sea off the coast of California on Tuesday October 23rd, 2018.

Know to his friends and family as Jim, he lived most of his life in Calgary.  His earlier years were spent developing a career in the Oil and Gas Industry that took him to many places around the world.  Jim also spent a lot of time out camping, dunebuggying, fishing, and trying his had as an amateur photographer and stock car racer.  After he retired, he enjoyed cups of coffee and conversations with loved ones; traveling the world; collecting and appreciating artwork, bargain hunting at garage/estate sales; and became quite handy crating wood projects, and solar chandeliers.  Always the intellectual, you could find him at the kitchen table working on a Sudoku or following the latest current affairs.

Survived by his only daughter, Tammy Kremer, (husband Guido); granddaughters Brittany Kremer and Brianna Woycheshin, (husband Jesse); and great grandson Jaxon Woycheshin; brother Rick DeBoer (companion Louise); halfbrother Lorne DeBoer, (wife Gail); stepsister Kim Fowler, (husband Bill); and stepmother Lois DeBoer, and companion Shirley DeJong.

Predeceased by his sister Betty Cariou, father Edward DeBoer, wife Linda DeBoer and mother Margaret Berard.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Goldenrod Community Hall in Balzac, AB (https://goo.gl/maps/3bzJT4YrRCQ2) on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
