Jasjit Kaur Parmar (Mappi), 62, of  Calgary Alberta, passed away on March 5th 2022.  Mappi was born in Jallandhar, Punjab, INDIA  to Gurcharan Singh Minhas and late Mohinder Kaur Minhas  on December 25, 1959.  Her and her family moved to Canada where she got married to late Hardeep Singh Parmar and they had three children; Sandeep, Sonya & Mandeep. In 1992, the Parmar family moved to Prince Rupert, BC to be close to Hardeep’s family. In 2006, the Parmar family moved back to Calgary for the kids to further their education. Before moving to Prince Rupert and after moving back go Calgary, she worked at Canadian Linen until she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer in March 2021. She was looking very forward to returning to work after recovering. Anyone who knows Mappi knows how strong she is, and how much of a fighter she is. She understood she had an uphill battle in front of her and vowed to fight it and win as she had once beaten it victoriously. Unfortunately and very sad for anyone who loved her, this was not to be.Mappi is survived by her children, Sandeep (Chelsea) Parmar, Sonya (Bobby) Sahota, Mandeep Parmar, Grand Children; Emma Parmar & Roman Sahota, Siblings: Ravinder Parmar, Gurjit Parmar, Paul Minhas & father Gurcharan Singh Minhas, Sisters-in-law; Tajinder Minhas, Ravinder Minhas mother- in-law; Kushilya Kaur Parmar and father-in-law Pritam Singh Parmar and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded by her husband Hardeep Singh Parmar (2010) and mother Mohinder Kaur Minhas (2006). Jasjit will be remembered by her loved ones as a kind and selfless soul who was a dedicated mother, and wonderful grandmother. Jasjit will be forever in our hearts. Funeral Ceremonies will be held at COUNTRY HILLS CREMATORIUM & FUNERAL SERVICES, 11995 16 Street NE on Saturday, March 12th at 10:00am.
