Kartar Kaur Gill passed away peacefully on March 5th, 2022, at the Peter Lougheed Centre at the age of 95. She spent her last days surrounded by her loved ones.
Kartar Kaur Gill was born on June 15, 1926, in the village of Karirwali, and grew up in Kahan Singh Wala, Punjab. She moved to the village of Sadda Singh Wala after her marriage to Ruldu Singh Gill. This is where they raised their 8 children.
Her legacy will be carried on by her children; Gurbax Singh, Jaswant Singh, Suba Singh, Gursewak Singh, Harnek Singh, Simarjit Kaur, Surjit Kaur, and Angrez Singh and her 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She immigrated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1988. After moving to Canada, she spent her time surrounded by family, raising her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and instilling in them the values, language, and cultures of Punjab & Sikhi.
Kartar Kaur Gill will be remembered by her loved ones as a kind and selfless soul who was a dedicated mother, and a wonderful grandmother. Her ability to spread love and joy to all those that surrounded her will be greatly missed.

Funeral Ceremonies will be held at COUNTRY HILLS CREMATORIUM & FUNERAL SERVICES, 11995 16th Street NE Calgary, Alberta. Sunday March 13, 2022, at 1:00pm.
