September 2, 1951 – January 27, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lynda Marie Lalla, who, after a courageous battle with cancer, peacefully left us on January 27, 2025, surrounded by family. Born and raised in Montreal, Lynda moved to Calgary to raise her family, where she was a vibrant soul who touched the hearts of many.

Lynda is lovingly remembered by her son James, his sons Oscar and Max, her daughter Selena, her devoted husband Chris, and their daughters Jadyn, Alexa, and Kyra. She will be deeply missed by a wide circle of friends, colleagues and neighbours.

For over 40 years, Lynda dedicated her professional life to Scotiabank, where she was known for her unwavering commitment and kindness. She built lifelong friendships with colleagues and customers, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Outside of her work, Lynda was an avid traveller, always eager to explore new cultures and landscapes. She was also a treasured member of the Huntington Hills Pioneers, where she formed many lasting friendships.

Her love for movies was well-known, and she found joy in the simple pleasure of watching films. Lynda was also a passionate animal lover, always advocating for their care and well-being.

Lynda’s memory will forever be cherished, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her love for life, travel, and community will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.

Heaven gained a good one. Love you forever, Mom!

A Celebration of Life will be held for Lynda on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Triwood Community Center (2244 Chicoutimi Dr NW, Calgary, AB). If you have anything red, please wear it, as it was Lynda’s favourite colour.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Lynda’s name to the Meow Foundation, an organization close to her heart, or to the Dulcina Hospice, where the staff so lovingly cared for her.
