Margaret Denise Gettis, aged 69 years, of Calgary, Alberta, peacefully took her final breath on October 23, 2020. A private viewing was held on October 27, 2020, in Calgary.
Denise was born in Nokomis, Saskatchewan, on December 4, 1950. She was married to Allen Puscas on December 31, 1981.
Denise began her professional career as a teacher and then transitioned into sales. In 2001, she became a successful realtor before retiring in 2015. She was best known for her vivacious personality and eccentric fashion sense.
Denise is survived by her husband, Allen, and family in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario. She is preceded in death by her father, Duain Gettis, mother, Florence Mary Gettis, and brother, Ken Gettis.
The family of Denise Gettis wish to thank all staff, including music therapists, at Foothills Medical Centre, caregivers Shaylene, Katherine and Oluchi for their care of Denise over the last 4 years, and Country Hills Crematorium & Funeral Services.

We will dearly miss our beautiful Auntie Denise. Her warm laugh and tight hugs always made us feel at home. Allen & family, we’re sending you love and condolences from back home.

It’s been a few years since I last saw Auntie Denise but the sound of her laughter feels like yesterday. I I have many memories I will hold close. I’m so sorry for the loss to all that loved her
My condolences to all family members. Denise and I both went to school at Semans. Rode on the bus together. She was a bit older than me but I always thought of her as being so sophisticated. May she rest in peace.

My condolences to Allen, the boys and their families. I always felt as if I was the center of the world with Denise. She had a way of making you feel as if you were the only one in the room. I am glad her last days were with family a nd great caregivers.

I’m very saddened to hear the loss of Denise, she was my Sales Manager at Loomis and we spent a lot of great days together ❤️ I always think of her and her strength and her encouragement. Love to her family
