Margaret Rose Brookman

July 9, 1936 – June 28, 2022

It’s with a heavy heart that our family announces the passing of Margaret Rose Brookman.  Margaret affectionally know as “Bubbles” was born in Stratford, England but grew up in London, England.  There she met the love of her life Ron and now she can be by his side. Margaret and Ron were married for over sixty-four years and in 2015 they received a letter of congratulations for their diamond wedding anniversary from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

Margaret was unfortunately inflicted with Alzheimer’s/Dementia 5 years ago and after putting up a hard fight, she eventually passed away from this terrible disease.  Now she is in a much better place.

Margaret is survived by her son Jeffrey, her daughter Rosalind and her grandchildren Andrew, Christopher, Karli, Kristina, Nicole and Tanya.

For most of her career, Margaret managed an IDA Pharmacy in Mississauga.  Margaret was a great cook and a wonderful mom.  Her Christmas cakes were fantastic and will be missed.  Margaret and Ron loved to travel and have been to among others Australia, Egypt, Jamaica, Kenya, Majorca and the many states in the US.  It was her brother Harry and her sister Sheila that convinced Margaret and Ron to emigrate to Canada in 1967 but the travel bug was engrained in her genes.

Margaret was a beautiful, understanding, bold, brave, loving, English, sincere lady (“Bubbles”).  She was high spirited, had a vibrant laugh and made people (friends, family and strangers) very happy.  She will be dearly missed.
