Michael Bernard Clancy (77), Calgary, AB –On Jan 18, 2018 Mike passed away from complications due to diabetes surrounded by his loved ones. Visitors were a plenty, from family to those he considered family, and his longtime friends/co-workers from the City of Calgary Waterworks. Mike was a natural storyteller; a collector and he had a great love for music. He was extremely generous, witty and loved a good joke.
Mike was born in Halifax, May 25, 1940; is survived by his wife Catherine(Kehoe) and his children: Rob (Carol), Tracy (Keith Wakelam), Wayne (Oana), Stuart (Brenda), Kris (Bruce Massingham), Step children – Robin & Dean Stowell.
Grandchildren: Jes, Josh, Kaila, Mac, Hailey, Katie, Zak, Jake, Ben, Cooper, Harley, Cash and Teighan. Great grandchildren; Scarlett, Sofia, Saylor, and Matteo.
Siblings: Pat, Sue, and sister-in-law Barb, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Mom (Jessie) and Dad (Reginald) and brothers Bob & Reggie.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kidney Foundation, Diabetes Canada or Heart & Stroke foundation.
Celebration of Life to be held on January 27, 2018 at the Bowness Legion (138 Bowness Center NW, T3B 5M5), 11 am- 2pm please join us in remembering Mike.
We would like to send special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses on Unit 49 at the PLC Center, as they took amazing care of him right to the end.

Dearest Kris and Family, Even though we know that it is nature’s way for our parents to go before us, it is still so hard to say our final goodbye. May Mike live on in your memories of him, in photos and in your hearts. I wish you peace and strength.
Only met him once, that is all it takes with people like Mike. lovely man.
