It is with great sadness that the family of Allan Hardin of Calgary, Alberta announces his passing on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the age of 76 years.
Allan was born in Cadomin, Alberta on November 17, 1947. He gained a love and appreciation of the great outdoors while living with his grandparents until the age of eight in Luscar, Alberta. He married Linda Herrington on May 9, 1970 in White Rock, BC. Together they had 2 children and celebrated over 53 years of marriage.
Allan was an accomplished author having published four books. He enjoyed a variety of interests and hobbies including fly fishing, camping, writing, acting in and directing plays, get togethers with friends, watching old movies – especially westerns, and listening to music. He loved to cook for his family and friends and his favorite catchphrase was, “Get out of my kitchen!” He loved to make people laugh and always had a good joke or story ready to tell. He will forever be missed, but his memory will live on for his family and friends through these interests and hobbies that he enjoyed so dearly.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda Hardin (Herrington), his daughter Kerri (Len) Frechette of Calgary, Alberta; his son Dennis Hardin (Jessica Longoz) of Edmonton, Alberta; and 3 grandchildren, Noah, Chelsea and Christopher. He will forever be loved as a Husband, Father and Grandfather.
Allan is survived by his sister, Lynda (Colin) Pilgrim as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many good friends.
Allan was predeceased by his brother Richard Zozuk of Nanaimo, BC. He was also predeceased by his mother, Maxine Dixon and father Michael Zozuk.
A sincere thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Dulcina Hospice who provided thoughtful, heartfelt compassionate care for Allan.

We met Allen and Linda in Cadomin and had a few visits with them & friends, friendly and always laughing & joking. Sad he is gone, RIP.
He at least got back to his roots for as long as that was possible.
They were also Legion members of Branch 124 for a few years.
